Site privacy

In short: this site uses no cookies and does not profile you. I count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not store your IP address and does not recognise you from one visit to the next. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Controller

The site is run by Alessandro Rinchi, an individual based in Italy, who is the data controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Contact: info@alessandrorinchi.com.

The apps have their own policies, for example Canone's.

Visit statistics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read and which site sent them. The script uses no cookies or anything else that stores data on your device, creates no identifier and does not keep your IP address. I only see aggregate numbers: page views, country, device type and browser, referring sites, load times.

Legal basis: my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Details in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies. If you pick a language with the button at the top, your browser remembers it in its local storage (localStorage), so next time you land in the right language. It stays on your device, is sent to no one, and you can clear it in your browser settings. It is a technical tool you ask for, so no consent is needed.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which briefly processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. Cloudflare may process data outside the EU, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses). Fonts are hosted on the site itself: your browser contacts no third-party server to download them.

Email

If you write to me, I use your address and your message only to reply. Mail goes through Cloudflare Email Routing to my Gmail inbox. I do not use it for anything else and do not share it with anyone.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. Write to info@alessandrorinchi.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If I change how the site handles data, I will update this page and the date at the top.
